My name is Jeanne Berry, and I am the founder of Let’s Learn Bookkeeping. Although I am a Certified Public Accountant, my career began as a bookkeeper. I was a bookkeeper for over twenty-five years. I learned bookkeeping before technology was commonplace. Therefore, when technology took over, I was able to rely on my solid practical bookkeeping background as my underlying knowledge base and was able to use technology as a proactive tool.
Today, this practical education for bookkeepers is no longer commonplace and the reliance on technology to replace this education has resulted in a lack of skills for this honorable trade. And that is how Let’s Learn Bookkeeping was born. We want this honorable trade to be about the person again, not the technology. The technology should only enhance us, not replace us.
